Ludum Dare #1compo
Wimpies
I wanted to explain my entry here but I am too tired now.
Just the short version:
There is a binary for MacOSX inlcuded. It requires the OpenGL, SDL, SDL_Mixer and GLUT libraries.
With the above mentioned libraries installed, it should be possible to compile the program on other Unix machines.
The game is not finished and I introduced some bugs in the last hectic attempt to "finish" it.
Nevertheless, I like the idea, and I will probably finish it in the next days. If you are interested, you are invited to visit http://www.innot.org/48h to see the logs and some screenshots. Any further updates will be published there as well.
One last note: the sources are divided into two parts. The files in the klib subdirectory are ripped of another program I wrote (www.mulle-kybernetik.com/software/kodisein). I honestly wanted to start from scratch, but I discovered on the first day, that it's possible (at least for me) to write a 3D-game in 2 days. It caused me a lot of trouble trying to use this code in another context, because it is not game-related. That's why I think it shouldn't be a problem that I used unapproved code. If it is, feel free to blame. I don't care, because I go to bed now :-)
This competition was a lot of fun for me and I am looking forward to take part in the next one.
