I have finally got something playable, I just hope its fun, the GFX are pretty nice except for the bike, and you don’t always lose a life when hitting the laser.
How does it meet the theme? The bicycle chain reacts to the laser making it go all acid, i just wish i had more time to really implement the theme more.
A bit on the incomplete side. Not very fun, the concept itself seems pointless. Why should I move the bike into the laser? Who is shooting a laser at me? Some concepts need no explanation, but this one does.
Really though, not a bad effort for a 12 year old, not at all. Don't wait till your 15, get all the practice you can get! I'd say many of us are not that relaxed with these things either. It takes a lot of energy to try and complete a game in just a few days, and without that pressure of a deadline you wouldn't get as much done.
Keep trying! I couldn't even program when I was 12, and by the time I was 16 all I knew was Pascal (and a little assembler to get higher than 16 color graphics).
So many nice easy to use languages like Python and powerful tools available now - all for free! It's a great opportunity. If you keep learning and practicing you'll probably be way better at game development by the time you're 16 than I am now at 24...
