EDIT: I seem to have misread the rules and disqualified myself. The part about sound libraries being allowed if you remix their content somehow carried over to graphics in my brain. I even had a few hours at the end I could have spent in GIMP drawing crappy islands. Oh well, I still had a good time, live and learn!
Programmed on Linux in C++ with SDL. Makefile included. Haven't tried to get it to compile on other platforms, compatibility patches (and other patches, and comments, suggestions, insults etc) welcome.
Controls: q quits, ctrl for gravity gun, space to jump, left-right to move. 5 levels are included (level 5 is drastically different than the others, so play through them!) Added an OSX port (based on fink's SDL), don't have access to a windows box.
The collision detection code was the most complicated part, and it's still buggy as hell, but I don't have time to fix it further.
My first compo, had a blast! Looking forward to the next one.
