The game was going to include a lot more RPG elements, but I ran out of time, so I scaled it back to a dungeon runner.

It crashes as soon as I open it. Windows 7 32 bit.
Unhandled exception at 0x0139c514 in TheDark.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000.
(Looks like you're writing to a null pointer.)

The dialog was really humorous. But as far as I noticed, the level was quite straightforward (I just followed the wall on the right hand side). It would have been more challenging if there was a labyrith where you could get lost.

I'm having trouble launching the game (Win7 x64). When running the .exe in explorer nothing happens, when running the .exe from command line I get something like this: http://love2d.org/screenshots/love-070.png . The linux version worked fine.

Couldn't move more than 5 pixels or so.. then the keys did nothing

@Fenmar That was the initial intention, but I ran out of time :(

@Cybs I'm not sure what would cause that, it never happened to myself or some of my beta testers

@Desmont - The game was coded on Win7 x64 so I'm not sure why there'd be an issue

Cool light effect. Slow.
Worked when I realized it was in Love, so I ran it with that.

Works fine here on Windows 7, 64bit. The game looks nice but isn't too much of an challenge. Funny dialogue.

It's a cool and nice idea, a pity you didn't get time to really finish this. Instead of an instant game over, maybe you could have made monsters of the dark start chasing you or something when the light goes out :p

It was slightly tedious waiting for the lantern to recharge. It charged slower than it drained, which means you spend more time waiting than walking.
I followed the left wall, and even though I recharged the lantern to 100 I didn't make it after going north and turning west. :(
The dialogue was well made and fun, and I also liked the light effect. It just lacks some more content, which is understandable for a LD game.
