epacse - an alternative physics platformer.
Controls not explained in the game:
F - toggle FPS display
Esc - exit the game instantly
Edit "SCREEN_ZOOM" variable in settings.conf to make the game window bigger or smaller.
The game doesn't save your progress, but it takes 20-30 minutes to beat. It's almost impossible to accidentally get stuck, so keep experimenting!
There's also a hidden SECRET ENDING to discover!
System requirements:
About every modern PC will be able to run epacse. Braid would be a good measure. On Linux, you'll need SDL, FMOD (fmodex) and zlib.
Compatibility issues:
epacse has problems running on Legacy Radeon drivers on Windows. It works fine on Linux with the same hardware.
Development:
epacse is written in pure C, using SDL, OpenGL, SOIL and FMOD. The game was built on my basic, incomplete, opensource engine. It was tweaked, modified and expanded heavily during LD.
All the graphics and levels were made in GIMP, sounds in bfxr.
