Built in Flixel, using Flashdevelop. Photoshop for the tiles, GraphicsGale for the sprites. Voices recorded in Audacity (mine + wifes). Sound effects made in Increpare's lovely BFXR. Music made with FL Studio.
Cute. I liked the music and sound effects and the amusingly unfinished player character graphics. :) I didn't seem to ever be able to punch nurses before they nursed me, but there was plenty of health around to make it to the exit pretty easily. And I escaped!
Gameplay is very decent. I thought the controls were a little sluggish though, it took my character a little too long to get moving and felt like I was ice skating. The graphics are OK but incongruous, especially for the main character. The music is very good but it's a bit too short and the beginning and end stand out too much.
The nurses did seem to hurt the player before they could get punched back. But the massive health drops made it more than fine. This is worth expanding on to make a full version.
Fun! I was lucky and found my way out quickly, I guess I'd have struggled if I hadn't chosen the right path. I see you put a lot of work into the audio. :]
