As it's java, you can play it on almost any platform (including solaris, but you'll need to get your own lwjgl natives). There is a kitten in the game, not particularly hard to find either.
A decent top down shooter / maze mashup. A little rough around the edges though. There were occasions where I'd spawn and literally be surrounded with enemies I couldn't avoid, faced with a cheap game over. The music was also just too short/repetitive. Obstacles were varied enough that it didn't feel like I was performing the same task repetitively.
If the game had a timer on taking damage that made you invincible for a short while, or at least no more no win bug ambushes scenarios, I'd be much happier.
Nice WASD top-down shooter :-). I liked the weird intro :-P. It is a bit on the hard side though. Although i noticed the dash (yeah, i know...) a bit too late :-P.
Ouch, that sound is incredibly loud! I like the funny intro, and I really like the particle-lasers and the way they spray out. I always have a hard time with controls that require you to aim with the mouse in a top-down environment, though.
The controls and movement was really nice and tight which was great. It allowed nice precise control over the player.
The storyline at the beginning was quite entertaining and distinguished the game from just another top down shooter. A bit of a different music track might have been nice though :P As wbobeirne said, it became repetitive after a while.
