Finally completed, just an hour before the deadline. This game is, to be quite honest, awful. But in fairness it was completed in just 24 hours rather than the full 48 because I completely scrapped all my code from the first day.
BACKSTORY You are a social recluse obsessed with being left alone, who for some reason is inside a volcano. The volcano is also filled with kittens who are completely obsessed with you. In each room you have to destroy all 5 of the kittens attached to you by throwing them in lava (spacebar). You can then leave by the green door. Arrow keys to move. Touching lava will, obviously, kill you.
Did i mention they're ghost kittens? As a result they can fly and pass through walls (which is nothing to do with how much easier it makes the physics shifty eyes).

Yeah there can obviously be done a lot about this game, but I still think it's decent. It works, it feels fair, it's somewhat challenging and you're not left guessing or waiting forever.
Why aren't the kittens just using the same physics as the player?
They have different physics because then coding how they come back to the player would have been vastly more time consuming. I'd have had to teach them how to get around obstacles, which would involve implementing A* or something. If working on this for longer I probably would but not in this amount of time.

Come on now, calling it 'awful' is a bit extreme - I quite enjoyed it! Good going for only half the time.

Cool. Some nice level design in there :-P
But even if you scrapped all your code D2, that still counts against the time you used to complete your game ;-)
This is probably a game for physicists.
