Defeating this game is a true feat of skill. It's brutal and only the truly skilled and patient will be able to master it... With 3 stages and a boss fight, you'll be busy for a while...
Made for the 48 hour compo. Sound was created using SFXR, all sprites and backgrounds were created by me. A timelapse video may be posted soon. In the meanwhile, enjoy the game!

The controls are a bit clunky but I guess that's because you're pushing around a shopping cart. The scaling of the graphics isn't too good but I guess it adds to the overall theme. You might want to do something more with the game over screen though, it's a bit plain.
I could only get to the second stage - how long is it?
The animations for pushing and pulling the trolley worked well. I also really liked the idea of building up momentum with the trolley, but the camera seemed to jump around a little, and a few times I seemed to die when I jumped on the enemy.
Really great game. I wish the jumping controls where a little more variable so I could jump without mashing head into spikes. Sometimes the screen jumped around quickly which I think was a collision thing. but very good!
It wouldn't be so bad if restarting wasn't so slow and you had more lifes, but currently it's very hard for no reason. Still, good job with the game and the intro was funny.

Downloading a Windows exe from one of these file sharing sites gives me the creeps. But anything for Ludum Dare I suppose!
It's a pretty standard platform game but with the addition that the level is round. As far as I can tell from playing a couple of minutes, this doesn't change the gameplay, but it looks very cool.
The collision handling could be improved. The whole screen jerks around when you hit a wall. I'd also like less inertia to make the player a bit easier to control.
