This was my first ludum dare entry, EVER. And I'm very proud of what I accomplished. Although it is a tad spastic and finicky overall it is finished.

KNOWN BUGS: 1) during the cut scene tabbing away from the window will crash it.
2) sometimes instead of going to a score board after you successfully eat the sun the game will go back to the cut scene.
3) The first few spawns of planets clump together, after you eat that clump the spawns get better.

Story:
you are a geo praderia maximus a rare breed of asteroid sized planet eating animals, your name rex. One day two derpanauts land on your surface their conversation goes as follows.
derpanaut 1: We've discovered a new world! derpanaut 1: We could claim it as our own and colonize it.
derpanaut 2: We could, but it's such a tiny world(not theme or anything)
derpanaut 1: Yea, I guess your right, it is tiny.
Rex hearing this becomes fed up with being "tiny", he decides he will stop at nothing to get revenge on those humans who called him tiny. He starts by eating the derpanauts and their space ship. Then continues to eat planets smaller than him to amass size. His final plan(not well thought through is to eat the sun and become a black hole finishing off the humans! and showing them what for.
I love it. A little spastic, as you said, but still. Hilarious concept and graphics. I especially like how the player doesn't get bigger, everything else just gets smaller.
Yea, that happens if you tab to a different window or you press to many keys. I rushed out the cut scene towards the end so instead of using timers like I should have I used Sleeps and so thus it is quite finicky.
Very nice, the scaling up shocked my the first few times, would be nice it if it was smoother but apart from that I thought it was great. The change in scale over the course of the game was a really cool idea

oh I'm sorry about the lack of porting, I finished porting it to linux, but I never got around to posting it maybe I'll do that. Also I made some bug fixes again haven't posted it yet. Thank you guys for the feed back. Yea I originally thought I had to make my own font so I made it a little wacky, sorry about the lack of readability.
