Update 22-05-2012 The world chaging mechanics is somewhat done,if the creature is happy enough the planet will start to restore and if a meteor randomly appears and it will infect the planet and destroy it.
Update 11-05-2012 So i decided to keep working on the game and make it what we had planned at the beginning. Since the judging is almost ending i'm going to post what i have done so far has a post-mortem, altough its still not done and missing the main gameplay(its almost done tough!),i'll keep updating it till its close to what we had planned. This version's file size is quite bigger.
this is sort of tamagochi like game were the creature eat fruits from the tree when its hungry and poops when it needs to.
The objective of the game was keep the creature happy if he is happy the planet will restore and become green but this was not implemented on time.
You can plant seeds to grow trees,and fire comets the creature will mine the comets to gather stone.
Sometimes the planet will be atacked by a parasite that will destroy the planet little by little if you creature is happy enough you can use a weapon to kill it.(this was not finished)
there are a lot of bugs and and no Collision detection.
stuff that was left to do: add tools like pickaxe and an axe. wood gathering wood gathering animation house bulding(was mostly done) a well and water endgame mechanics.
the robot thing was to kill the parasite that atacked the planet but it was not finished.The parasite that atacks also was not finished. The idea was when the random asteriod hits the planet a parasite would dig into it and start to destroy it from the inside,the planet would then start changing and then die,and the creature would also die. And the creature had to happy somewhat happy for to be able to use the robot-like thing.
Unfortunately i ran out of time while i was finishing the mechanics,you can see traces of them in the code.
