Shoebox World

Great game - it took me a while to figure out how to get more money by harvesting, but once I did, it was fun. Creative, clean-looking, cute, and fun.

:D cute game. I still don't exactly understand the mechanics but I was able to beat it.

A web game without flash! +100 Internets for you sir! It's cute and a little bit cruel. I would like to see a little win screen after collecting the achievements.

Nice game. I wish there was more content for it and more interactions. A little laggy though.

I like this game. it reminds me of a quiet unknown game I played about 15 to 20 years ago.
Unfortunately I couldn't figure out when the money refills. It happened one time but not again.
The sounds end graphics are above average. Well done.

@Zathalos - Thanks, of course I had much more planned so the user could make a balanced ecosystem and the creatures would breed, hunt each other, etc but time was fleeting.

@tcstyle - You get money for fulfilling goals (at the bottom) and you can sell flowers and blue beasts. The UI could be better. Thanks for the comment!

I'm not too sure what's hapening but when the (amazingly cooly drawn) monster thing attacks my beasts it's hillarious XD.

=) Awwww.. The predator is so cute ^--^. The theme seemed to be a bit forced into the game by the initial cutscene, that was inconsistent with the other art, but the overall experience was very entertaining =D. Good job!

Doesn't seem to work for me. I get a 'sound initialization error' on the intro(?) screen and it doesn't respond to my input. Firefox 12, Windows 7.

@Make A Game - perhaps it was a bit forced. I ran out of time to add a shoebox/fishtank feel to the game area so I put in the cutscene instead. Was hastily drawn and it shows.

@NailM - I think its a timing mistake in my loader. Just try refresh and everything should work.

One of my favourites so far.

Good game, I was a little foggy on what to do but the graphics are good and it's fun to build the little world.

I ended up with a barren land filled with carcasses and nasty monsters :P but I got all the achievements! ^^

Had fun playing the game although it took me a while before I understood how to get the hang of it

Didn't realize I could harvest, but still had fun trying to just use achievement rewards to further my goals. Great game!

Came back and finished this. After playing more than 50 entries this is still one of my favourites.

I got all the achievements and got "WINNER!" :) Fun game! I enjoyed that. The graphics were good, the gameplay was fun and the sounds/music complimented the game well.

Really really cool. The intro comic strip made me laugh, and the game overall was really fun to play. Good music too!

Had to read the other comments to realize you could harvest to get money, but after that it was quite good! Very easy, but still amusing and entertaining.

I really like how detailed the growing animations are. Nice time waster!
