A shop. Some Chemical X. A debt to pay to the mafia. And 6 kittens. Let's breed them into the cutest so most lucrative kitty! But beware of evil mutation, hate between kitties, and kittens becoming fat! That's not good for business!
This game has kept me playing the longest out of all the ones I've tried so far! Really fun to combine the cats and get new breeds. The mutations were funny and surprising. It took me a while to find a good strategy for making money, but then once I had a good set of cats it seemed pretty easy to keep advancing and I lost interest (past about the $1k goal).
Didn't mind the lack of sound since it might have been annoying with all of the quick combinations I was doing, but some background music would have been nice. Tutorial was a little long.
Our games are indeed quite similar in terms of the overall theme (mutating cats), but also very different - from the goal, through the target platform, up to the creation act itself. We also differ in number of people in team and compo/jam category, so I'd say our creations are similar only theme-wise. Well, no one's to blame - it's a great merging of "evolution" and "1000 kittens". :) I really like the shop idea and that the cats move, since I myself didn't find time to do something similar, and of course I like the theme very much. :) Some music would be great, but it's fun anyway. Great entry!
Same as with clavicarius, you kept me going for quite a while there. Great concept, and as a bonus this would've worked with the 1000 kittens theme as well. Graphics were a bit meh, but they definitely served its goal.
I didn't like that black kitties got a penalty. I also didn't like that my ctullhu kitty got a penalty. Otherwise it was more fun than I thought it would be.
I couldn't get the sound to work I'm afraid :S Even after installing OpenAL32.dll. Because of the amount of random involved it can be a bit difficult to breed exactly the cat you're looking for. Still, I love all the hilarious mutations that are possible :)
Ha, this a fun one. This must be Japanese, is it not? It's different, it's definitely evolution, looks funny and good, and before you know it, vou've been playing for a half an hour. So, the gameplay is good as well, easy to understand, you can see what happens. Product X is a bit addictive to use. Luckily I do have sound.
