There isn't much game play to speak of. Both A and B buttons will fire. Every other shot is a slow one.
The bacon evolves after a certain number of bugs are shot (25 right now). The Sizzle Meter, in the lower right, indicates the progress towards evolution.
Everything, except the title screen was created this weekend.
The game was only tested under SNES9x, but it should work fine on any emulator. I don't know if it will work on a real SNES; I did not have a chance to test it.
Yeah, the problem with creating a game for a really niche system is that most people can't access it. :C Shame there isn't an emulator, or a build that works as a regular web application
It's pretty interesting that you decided to make a SNES game but like you said, there isn't much to say about it. It's a very basic, very standard shoot'em up. I really wish there was some impact on gameplay from the evolutions, and that the game became progressively harder. I found it way too easy and got bored quickly, but fortunately SNES9X allows for a fast-forward mode, which provided a fun challenge :P

Amazing that a SNES game was made. Using SNES9x, I didn't get any sound. Difficulty never ramps up, no indication of final evolution, no death animation. But definitely a good start and impressive.
Runs fine under ZSNES, and the fact that it's an SNES game is pretty cool. Like you said though, not much gameplay to speak of, and the evolving doesn't really do much. However I did keep giggling at the absurdity of flying a mayo-launching bacon strip against a bunch of bugs, credit there :)
