I thought the path selection was an interesting mechanic. The music was good as well.
I have no idea what the colored tiles mean, or why there were sometimes spikes. It seemed like the only thing to do was select for a path the the other ball. Pretty cool concept, but not much of a game.
I managed to complete the game, I didn't understand exactly how my choices would change the future choices, but the shattering destruction of the unpicked choice was a neat effect.
After playing the game and reading your postmortem, I think your initial concept was very interesting but didn't fully make it into the final game. Of course, 48 hours is a short amount of time, but I do hope you continue to explore the idea as the atmosphere of the game is very interesting.

Live take! Really like the menu-titles, and the shattering is interestingly done.
