@TobiasNL: Yeah, I didn't put enough thought into the theme. I had so many bugs while developing this that it just became overwhelmingly difficult to stick to "Evolution". If anything, I will incorporate more levels later and perhaps special abilities the Player can pickup to upgrade its movements / weapons.
I actually really liked how you described the theme in an abstract way in your initial description. Even though it's a super short platformer, I was imagining I would play with a man, who represents mankind, in his ascend to the upper realms of the sky and finally into the heavens!
That would be really neat. I also really like the music and the atmosphere, just wish it was longer.
Maybe at the end of his epic escalation he evolves wings and flies! :D
That is some really rad music. You did a good job on the controls as well. Also I wouldn't sweat the theme, I have YET to see an entry where there aren't people bitching about the theme in the comments.
Hey thanks for the comments guys! @Kassoon: I agree man, the theme is hard to identify in many of the games posted. And really, nothing stops me from continuing on this platform after the competition and actually implement something more along the lines of "evolution"

A fun little game but that end! What happened? What was that totemic object? A red flag you say? Hmmm... I didn't know that the history of mankind was just one huge capture the flag match! xD
The music is cool, but the rest of the game could really have used a bit more diversion; right now the only real 'challenge' is to not fall into a pit. Thumbs up on the color choices! :)
Pretty nice graphics and awesome music, too little gameplay though. I like what I see, but I'd like to see a little bit more. In terms of content, it's just sweet.
Great music and nice graphics! It seems like kind of a loose interpretation of the theme though. Controls could use a little tuning. It's a bit too sensitive.
