Warning: I may be using some terminology incorrectly. Please don't crucify me for that, or do and explain my error.
The idea for this game was that you have these "worms" in a sort of tunnel system (looks more like a tree in the current version), who move at intersections based on their DNA. The yellow dots are energy (or something). Every new generation, is birthed from the last, favoring the DNA of those worms that collect the most energy (see that? Natural selection. I know these words).
The players job was going to be to introduce the 3 mutations into the DNA, thus keeping the population diverse and guiding it to greater sources of energy.
Although the point system is never touched in game, I'll explain the intention. Points would be awarded for the success of your population; however, less points would be awarded the longer the game went on. The player could spend points in order to mutate his population. The goal is to get as many points as possible, by making strategic mutations to the population.
Buttons:
Generate!: Interbreeds the current population to create a new population.
Delete: nothing
Invert: nothing
Duplicate: nothing
The two little squares around the map are anchors to scale the map.
Keys
W/S: Increases/Decreases the number of genes in the DNA
D/A: Increases/Decreases the number of worms
Q: Randomizes the population's DNA
E: Creates a new map
X/Z: Control the highlighted worm.
P.S. The .sh file isn't set up to be an executable, sorry.
