There are definitely some bugs I didn't get to squash before submitting, and they may inhibit your enjoyment of the game. Sorry, did my best! Just letting you know I am aware. I may link to a fixed post-compo vesion later.
(MILD SPOILER -- the lines represent when the two beings love one another, the closer they are to being together when you take them out, the more darkness you add to the world -- Also, there are two endings to this game)
Not sure if it's a bug, but eventually the background and the player disappeared, the other guys kept coming, but I couldn't do anything except refresh the page.

Love the music! the game is a bit difficult to figure out. What is going on?
So you want to either get the pink bar or black bar to fill up the screen. Let the lines between players connect to get the pink bar to fill, and attack with space right before they connect to get the black bar to fill. Attacking has some bugs though as experienced by Casino Jack above...
Some simple two-frame walking animations would really dress this up. I appreciated the sort of faux Philip Glass music. I couldn't win the game because of the graphics bug.
