Quantum Strike - a 2D space shooter game in which you are defending your homeworld from an invasion by alien forces. No power-ups, no upgrades, no health bars/lives - just you and your enemies. (that pretty much sums it all up :D)
NOTE: I know that the game currently has "Made with Game Maker" watermark on the screen. I am currently fixing some file extension problems so I can run it on my old version of Game Maker 8 Pro. In other words, I will post a new version without a watermark as soon as I can. :)
NOTE TWO: You can press F1 in game to view the controls and other information (including random spaceship names I've made up :D) The controls are as follows: F1=view game information Esc=quit/exit a menu Arrow keys=move ship (in singleplayer, or brown ship (player 1) in multiplayer) Numpad 0=shoot (in singleplayer, or make the brown ship (player 1) shoot in multiplayer) WASD=move blue ship (player two) in multiplayer Space bar=shoot (player two ship in multiplayer)
There seems to be a bug that doesn't allow player 1 to shoot in multiplayer or singleplayer although the laser sound does play. Also I had a hard time figuring out what the controls were as they don't seem to be written down anywhere. I havent really played the game yet but the music was pretty nice
Sorry, I guess I should have posted this somewhere: You can view the controls and stuff by pressing F1. I will update the description on this page with all the controls in a second. Sorry about the confusion! :P
miharbi, I checked multiplayer and singleplayer for the bug you mentioned, and it worked fine for me. I think you may have been pressing the wrong key to shoot, but that's my fault for not making it clear how to even play the game! Let me know if anything starts acting up again. :)
Look promising, considering I haven't seen many good shooters this LD. I could only play as player 2 in multiplayer. Graphics and sound are good. Nice thing to have a 2-player mode. The enemies are not very challenging though, until you run into that enemy that shoots at you. I never got past that part because player 1 keeps dying while I control player 2.
