My first ever submission to the Ludum Dare compo. The idea is rather simple (well, there were already games featuring shooting in a room like that and spamming your keyboard to run) and theme is used in an obvious way, but I think the game itself isn't that bad I thought it was going to be.
It was written in Java, so it should be pretty portable (though I haven't done any non-Windows testing).
I'm not an graphics artist, so it looks as it looks.
Uh, I don't know what more should I say here. It was fun coding it (even though some parts of the code are scary)!
The game could use some more variance though. perhaps more minigames than just the corridor run, more enemies, obstacles. The concept was good but needs bit more flesh on the bones.
Cool game, especially for your first entry! First entries always turn out pretty lame. I didn't like how much the character slides for the shooting mini game, and damned if that corridor game isn't impossible. It usually takes me about 5 seconds just to locate the buttons I need to run, and then I die and then I get all sad face because this game is too hard. Nicely done, though, and great job with music!
dont like the movement of the character, but i like the idea, dont like graphics, nice music, but i get bored when i did the same 3 times :/ Good job anyway
I loved the shooting sections but the corridor bits really hurt the game for me. It was so fun running around and killing the bad guys but mashing two random keys is not fun and exhausting.
Still a very good effort and I'd love to see future entries from you.
