This is a quick project I did for this ludum dare to learn Unity.
I've never had the concentration to learn it without a proper task so this gave me the motivation to do it!
Its a really simple game with terrible artwork. You play as a gnome who is out to kill the mutant gnomes from beneath the surface. With trusty carrot in hand, use the arrow keys to move the gnome and press space to fire. Remember to CATCH THE CARROT on the way back or its game over!
A simple combo multiplier makes this game loads more fun.
I think Unity is really cool, but using the 2D tools (mainly the Physics2D) you do come across a lot of bugs that have still to be sorted out by them. I think next time I would just stick with the 3D stuff and fake it to be 2D.
Really good for a first attempt with Unity. Not sure why your gnome lives underground, so maybe it would have made more sense if he was a rabbit given that he's throwing a carrot? I liked the high combos once the number of enemies started to build up.
