This is Surface Tension - the result of 48 hours of chaotic jamming! There's still a few bugs, but I had a lot of fun making this game, so I hope you enjoy it! :)
Avoid bullets, destroy the 'surface' of each level, and defeat your enemy! 8 levels of intense fun (well, the 8th level repeats itself if you beat it, so it's technically endless..?)
Press X to change directions (or to PLAY from the menu) Press Z to pause/unpause
Android version available! Updates for mobile include: - Restart from the level you died on - Improved GUI - Improved player feedback

The health bar being yellow on white makes it really difficult to see peripherally - should be yellow on black or something high-contrast like that. The sprite works is decent, and the SFX are about the same - what really kills it for me is the lack of music. Good gameplay, but weak thematic interpretation IMO.
Cool game. Would have worked great in the one-button compo. Personally I'd like it better if the movement and shooting were given to the player. Congrats!
This is fantastic. Basically Super Hexagon with a gun and dodging bullets. Surprisingly balanced - constant struggle of choice between dodging/surviving and destroying the surface to get through. I love it!
Very interesting idea! Minmalistic and yet requires strategy! Graphics and sound effects are a little bare bones but that's to be expected for 2 days of work. All in all I enjoyed it.
Awesome! This is my favorite minimal game made this LD. I wish the loading time between levels was less ('cause I die a lot). The AI is super smart though. Can't beat it :P
I enjoyed chilling out any playing this - a simple premise that works well. I'd probably have played for longer if there was a life or checkpoint system, since repeating the earlier levels got old after a while - but I guess this would be more of an issue if there were more levels. Would work great on mobile, being a single tap control scheme .. great stuff.
Quite hard :( I couldn't get passed level 3. I liked the simplicity. Wanted to see more levels. Practice, practice, practice, I guess. Otherwise loved the gameplay. Could go on a phone *hint hint*

I would have liked to have been able to retry the level, instead of starting over from scratch. After a dozen attempts or so I managed to get to Level 5.
I love one-button games ! Quite hard, I wish you'd add more lives, or a checkpoint system (it was boring to start from the beggining each time). Otherwise I love it :D
The gameplay is really simple and fun! The controls were hard to master at first but I got the hang of it after 2-3 levels. I'd love to see more content added and please do make a mobile version! Good job, keep it up.

This is a great one button game idea! Nice work. The difficulty curve feels just right for me.
Solid game! I had a lot of fun with it. Only got to level 6. The mechanics were fun once you got into it. Would play 50 levels of this but would want the game to save per level :)
