QR: Quilted Realms is a 2D web game made with nothing but Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
As one of several random sprites, you can explore a forested world, pick up tools, cut trees and mine rocks for materials to build with, and slay enemies. You start in a world that is only so big, but you can expand it by connecting your map with others!
NOTE: If game is having any issues on loading, please hit the "Reset Game" button in the menu bar at the top.
We wanted a way for players to create and connect worlds.
The goal was to allow players to press a button and turn their world into a QR code that another player can scan and import it into their world. Our vision was to create a browser-based game that would be friendly for all platforms (it currently works well on PC; it needs some mobile optimization). We also wanted players on mobile platforms to be able to easily connect with each other via QR code.
Even though Ludum Dare has ended, we plan to continue working on this project and grow on this initial prototype of our idea.
