You are on a Universal Dating Show called "Zanlings Match" trying to find a Connection with another being in this crazy World.
Instructions: You just need to click through the screens and select the Questions you want to ask and then which Answer you like the most out of the three. At the end one of the Contestants is chosen as your connection.
Second Ludum Dare attempt and this time I really struggled coming up with an idea. Wasted the first day just brainstorming. Wish I'd come up with the idea earlier so I could have added alot more depth and variety and made it a bit clearer what was needed. More alternate endings would have been fun and I wish I had actually had time to write more in depth dialogue and sounds.

The audio is so at odds with the dating show vibe that it gives the whole thing a weird otherworldly feel which is really nice. Quirky, funny and nicely stylised, I checked all three endings and would love to see this expanded.
Thanks panurge the more time that passes since I completed it and the more I'm liking the idea. Have been thinking of expanding it later on. Want to add more characters, dialogue and voiceovers.

I'm loving the style and use of theme! As another guy said, the ethereal audio set against the dating show mechanic produces something really unique. The graphics and colour scheme are fabulous too. I'm stumped trying to think of criticisms -- well, besides the obvious desire for the game to be expanded. I think these kind of peculiar, creative games are the reason LD is so much fun.
Thanks Snoother and definitely agree with you about LD helping with these types of games. Can't actually imagine having come up with this game and making it if it wasn't for LD.
Sweet game. And the most creative and fitting idea for the theme. i like it pretty much. The soundeffects in the beginning were disturbing and weird gave of the vibe of a saladfingers episode. Actually sounds and music for the mainpart of the game would have come a long way to making it more enjoyable. I didnt quite got to the characters though - guess that's why i ended up with froopal. But hey - good food is always nice. :) Oh yeah and nice art also.
Really happy people are enjoying it and been great to get such positive feedback. Definitely makes me want to expand on the idea and already have lots of ideas I wanted to include and improve.
I think it's an AWESOME idea, but I really really regret we actually knew who was answering (even if the colors weren't here, it would have been easy to know who had answered what) isn't the goal of these dating game to NOT know who answered?

Dating shoes are already kinda creepy, so having ethereal music laid on top was wonderfully appropriate. In a way, it'd be good if you didn't know which response belonged to whom until the ending; but considering the, um, disparate speech styles, there's not much can be done about that.

Definitely find audio my weakness and wish I'd had time to do voiceovers for the characters and a proper theme.
I also ended up marrying a giant blob monster and I'm not sure how to feel about this.
