The year is 1982. The day is Saturday. Twin sisters Jessica and Tiffany are stuck inside their Grandpa's house on this rainy afternoon with nothing but a few pencils and a piece of grid paper they found.
Help Tiffany reach the end of Jessica's nasty maze, but be careful because the maze changes every time the dangers are intense, and Jessica is kind of a jerk! She'll make the encounters harder as you get deeper into the maze!
Controls: WASD or Arrow Keys to move Mouse to aim and shoot
For Mac and Linux versions Java Runtime Environment 1.6 or greater is required. If double-clicking on grandpasgrid.jar does not work, invoke "java -jar grandpasgrid.jar"

The story isn't necessary to enjoy the game, but I hope it adds to the experience!
Things were small and kinda hard to see. It seemed that luck was a pretty big factor in success. Some rooms spawned with almost no way to grasp what's going on before you died from it, and some just wore you down over time with lots of dead ends. The game itself was pretty entertaining though, and I was enjoying it enough to play through to the end. I also really liked the sketchpad thing you have going on with the graphics. Overall it's good, it just needs some tweaking and balancing, or some way to deal with those ambush rooms.
I love it! It's fun, I like the shop tradeoff concept, and I think this did just great with the theme. I like your art! The audio was the only part I felt fell short.
Very fun, vary cool concept, I love how the girls react to what's happening, it really makes a great little background story. The music was extremely offputting, but I can deal.
Great great game! Music was cool, if a bit repetitive. Art is super solid from an appearance perspective, though as other have noted the rooms are a bit small (maybe as an elaboration zoom into the current one until the encounter is over). But, I mean, that art. Vunderbar.
Charming story and art. The rogue like game play is promising, although the small rooms are frustrating. Like Empyrealhell said above, maybe a zoom would help that. Solid production otherwise!
The presentation/aesthetic for this is so awesome, and really had a ton of fun with it. Like the enemy variations and types and the combat felt sweet and clean, great entry :)!
