Known issues: - There's no sort of punishment for just mashing buttons, and by doing that you will probably never lose. - The game gets kinda boring after losing one or two ships.
Made with: - Game: Multimedia Fusion 2 - "Art": Corel PhotoImpact X3 and the latest version of Microsoft Paint - Sounds: FamiTracker
========== 2014-12-11 Edit: Changed the download link so that it points to a zipped version of the original EXE file after NickMakesGames's suggestion. I'd also like to thank everyone for their comments so far, I'll definitely try to work on the game some more post-ludum dare to try to improve it / iron out some issues! ==========
sadly, button mashing *is* the best way to play this game, especially when only one ship remains and there's no pressure from having to multitask three lanes at once. That aside, I'm shocked by how polished this is! The game is very pretty and has an incredibly professional look and feel to it, especially for a 48 hour entry! (And as a word of advice, you should probably save your .exe in a .zip file and upload that, instead. Many folks are hesitant to just download a .exe on it's own, so you're probably missing out on a lot of well-deserved votes.)
Interesting idea, however the fact that one could just button smash it through without loosing anything made it feel like something was missing :/, nice try overall!
It's pretty, but you need to work on your game design. A gradually increasing difficulty, penalty for the button mashing and another way to penalize letting the ships be destroyed would do it wonders
