1. Place walls 2. Place your 5 units (green) 3. Hit START 4. Rotate with A/D or Left/Right or Mouse 5. This changes direction in which your units move 6. Don't die, get the enemy (red)
Created from scratch (everything) during 72 hours.
This is our first Ludum Dare entry. The result is far away from the concept, and perhaps a bit too much for the time and resources we had available, but here is what we came up with.
The idea is that you take control of the "level designer" of the game, and build a maze and spawn your "units" around an AI controlled "enemy". Game ends when either the AI enemy dies, or all your minions are dead.
To play again, you must reload the whole application.
Interesting...I feel like you were going for something, but you didn't quite get there. I don't really know how I would build a maze so as to sneak up on the enemy. I ended up with a big open space and just twirled around to keep at least one of my units shooting. Well, it was a good try, and certainly the graphics and animation are good!
Very innovative concept, graphically also very well done. I managed to surround the enemy with my guys so I destroyed him quite easily. Could be an idea worth developing further.
interesting concept, but i'm not sure the maze really helps. As some other comments highlighted, it could be more convenient to have a vast open space and try to fight the enemy in there. Still an interesting game! I really miss a soundtrack, though
Genius! I would love to play a full version of this, too! Tricky to control all 5 to get them where you want, though, but I'm sure with more time it could be improved.
Hmm, the enemy got stuck in a corner, so it was pretty easy to beat him. Nice concept and good presentation. Maybe you could expand it by having other kinds of units? Anyway, great job!
I understood the basic mechanics but not how to actually kill my opponent! I tried to flee, I tried to swarm him... Didn't succeed :) But this is well made and encouraging for 72h of work from scratch. Congrats.
I didn't really understand the point of the concept, mainly because it was very easy to win. I think the player should have more restrictions on how to build the maze and where to place the characters. Anyway, good job!
