Snowflakes is a very simple Java game created in the Ludum Dare 31 competition. It is my first submission for Ludum Dare and my first game made in a short timespan. According to this, many things are unfinished and buggy but that's okay. But now to the game itself:
The game is currently really simple. You have to collect snowflakes in your snowflake box. Really creative, isn't it? You can walk left and right and you're also able to jump or even double-jump.
But collecting these snowflakes isn't as easy as you might think at first. It would be really senseless to put all the snowflakes in the box, when you don't even have it in your hands! Yea.. you have to press X to open the box.
Sadly you cannot hold the box in your hands forever. There's a kind of cooldown. A power! The power of holding the box! Yes.. in the game it looks like a energy bar. It's on the right and when you hold the box you lose energy, but when you put it away, they energy increases! Great!
Controls: Left & Right - Walk Up / Space - Jump X - Snowflake Box
So that's all about the game. I had much fun coding it and I'll probably participate again next time. But for now.. Have fun!
Note: Java 8 is required to play this game.
Edit from 2017/06/18: This is quite an old game, but I decided to fix the download link (finally Dx). This version is a tiny bit different from the original one I entered the competition with, but it's still the same game at the core. :D

I like the artwork in the screenshot though, maybe I'll be back to rate later!
You might want to mention that Java 8 is required, by the way.
