Runs on Blender, (unzip BOTH the .blend file and hands.mp4 to the same folder) download the latest version of blender from the official site linked above (Windows, Mac and Linux).
The game is more interactive art, however, there is a win condition... almost like an easter egg (hint in the screenshots)

I'd still download Blender on Linux, the export functionality isn't as efficient and I use Arch (rolling release) so there will probably be shared lib conflicts :(
File > External data > Make all paths relative File > User preferences > Addons > Game Engine > Save as Game Engine runtime File > Export > Save as Game Engine runtime
Fantastic art! Really loved how the tablet follows you around too- great touch, it really enhances the surrealism of the scene. As does the snowman, somehow...
For people calling for a standalone windows version I'm willing to host one if you can export it following ramoncb's instructions above... I just don't have a modern copy of windows laying around (I'm not a software pirate anymore either, sorry :( )

Cool concept, I've never seen a game played from blender before, that's really neat. The music and graphics fit the mood well too. I liked it, nicely done :)

I think you should make an executable! It's easy:
File > External data > Make all paths relative
File > User preferences > Addons > Game Engine > Save as Game Engine runtime
File > Export > Save as Game Engine runtime
