This reminded me of a game from my childhood called night raid (although it is much different), but it was hard to play because of the heart-stopping CPU spikes that make me think my computer has died X_X
Gameplay is pretty fun with the enemy's movement AI. The player speed slowdown after a little bit of playing that quickly went back made me think the game had started lagging, though.
Nice game! Reminds me of old flash games - especially the music. If there were a couple more enemy types and the difficulty curve were tweaked, I think this would be excellent.
It's a nice fun, well build space-invaders-esque game with a nice feel between the graphics and art, though the difficulty ramp is really slow and after a certain point the game starts experiencing slow-down. (I would guess due to a HUGE amount of saucers being created at once.) You have some optimization work to do.
This game was solid. It was simple, yes, but it did it's core thing well. It's a good shooter. A little more depth would have been nice, but again, solid core. Well done.
Although I have a burning hatred of scratch (very long story). This was one of the better games I've seen made on it. Although this ran a bit slowly on my computer I did enjoy this game a lot. Great work and keep making more games!
@all I had a sneaking suspicion that the immense lag in the game was actually caused by an effect in scratch that can make things run slow because the way it is applied. I checked out the mini Q&A and decided it should be okay get rid of this effect. As a result, the game runs at a good pace for much of the game. And too make the game run as close to this effect as possible, I added a more manual and less pretty but less costly version. Thanks!
