Card Strategy Game - Vaccinate aliens to mutatte their babies and watch them fight.
Game was made in unity, some features had to be left out so some of the cards don't work as intended, but the core functionality is there and it's pretty funny to watch the action unfold.
Game Notes:
With this game I decided to experiment with how much information was provided to the player. I left out descriptions of each card in the hope that players would experiment and try out different combos. Unfortunately, due to some of the functionality being left out and the interface getting squished in the web player it's really hard to see what is going on. So I'll give a description of each card below.
-1/+1 arm : adds or subtracts an arm , this decreases/increases damage
arm
peg leg : gives an alien a peg leg, if an alien gets two peg legs, it cannot walk
+1 eye : adds an eye
+1 eyepatch : puts an eyepatch on an aliens eye
big eye : makes an aliens eyes really big (bigger than a patch)
laser vision : alien shoots lasers from uncovered eyes (range damage, unimplemented)
cross eyes : aliens lasers misfire, hurts self
+1 nose : adds a nose
nose hair : clogs a nose
allergies : smells hurt alien
nose vision : alien is able to see with an unclogged nose
body odor : alien produces awful stench (unimplemented)
gas : alien moves more quickly, produces stench (unimplemented)
+1/-1 health : increases or decreases aliens health
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to add the functionality for all the cards, so the eyepatches, laser vision, body odor and fart cards don't do much when it gets down to the actual fight.
Going to the unity web player somehow messed with the layout, so it doesn't look as pretty as it did in development :(, you should still be able to play the game though! Or download the source and check it out on windows, there should be an .exe in there.
If you liked this game, or it confused or, or made you curious, and you want to let me know, contact through my site www.portent.space . This is the site for the game I am currently working on!
