This game was created in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 32!
The premise of the game is that you have ventured down a manhole in search of your keys you've managed to lose down the drain.
Therein, you meet an ancient (and decidedly lame) deity that bestows upon you random household items to defend yourself with. Each time you play the game you will randomly get one of two weapons to use.
Can you rise to the challenge?
Controls:
WSAD or Arrow Keys - Move
Mouse - Aim
Left Mouse Button - Attack
KNOWN BUGS:
If you die, your health somehow does not update. The health bar will though, making it LOOK like you have full health. In fact though, you'll die in one shot. Sorry! Guess it's a hardcore mode to punish you for dying? (Or I just ran out of time to fix it!)
There's not really an end! Sorry about that. If you've reached an endless black void, pat yourself on the back. You have won!
The game started out very fun, light-hearted and amusing, but I think I found a few gameplay/programming issues. You can't see your mouse, so knowing where you're shooting is really difficult, and after defeating all of the slimes in the second room I couldn't proceed, but wasn't sure why. I checked the entire room.
"Toaster!"*Epic voice* :D Love that! Really nice sound and the cool lights/shadows on the maps. Something that feels wrong is the time that the toasts stay after that you have fired them. Also the enemies seem to stop moving if they get hurt. Good game!
wow! I love it. The lighting sets up the mood. The graphics are awesome, because you have wonderful and funny moments. Mechanics are simple, but honestly, why would you need more?
got a billion NullRefs after clearing each floor, and cant shoot up while against a south wall, but other than that pretty good! nice sound and art (though would making the character sprite turn with him be that hard? :P)

Is it bad that I actually refreshed the game page several times so I could get the other weapon? The game itself was quite fun to play (the music really sets the mood) and I really loved the sheer hilarity of killing monsters with buttered toast and the randomness makes it even more replayable. You should definitely add more random household items (or maybe add some random dungeon generation to keep things more interesting).
A really solid top-down shooter, with great lighting and nice looking graphics. I liked how the toaster weapon had unique gameplayer compared to the pankcake gun, which was more of a typical gun. Nice work!
