Digging the shield mechanic, the audio is a little annoying (a midi loop that's not very well structured) and the game does play a little slow, but the basis for a fleshed out game based on these mechanics are here, good stuff :).
While I think I saw the "Shield is your weapon" idea like dozens of time. This is really nicely executed + probably the most enjoyable game I played so far. Good Job!
Fantastic entry. You have all my likes. Major Spaceman can be very distracting on the tutorial, though, as you've got to keep an eye on both the screen and what he says at the same time. Other than this, the only negative point that I could find is that without the three-way power-up the game becomes extremely hard to beat whenever you reach the final boss.
That didn't stop me from trying a few times, though :P Very enjoyable, thanks a lot for making it!
