Before playing, I ask that you temporarily suspend your expectations of what a game should be. When you finish your prayers, instead of asking "That's it?", rest in the peace of "Ah, that's it.", and know the gods have heard you.
Pretty darn funny (minor inconveniences being the doom of the world), but I don't see much game in this sadly. No music and no progression does hut this sadly :(. I did like the presentation of the idols though.
The player needs some choice. Like if you had to pick one of the idols and then you got a little ending image for your decision. I think that kind of bare-minimum choice would have worked well here.
it's nice... although it lacks some sort of ending... i was expecting something to happen to the earth once you talk to all the gods then go back to the start... but nothing happened.
Not entirely a "game", but I like what you've done all the same - Also what is that platform!? The Pico-8 is a new one on me, a fantasy console? Sounds kinda awesome!
Awesome art. And the little bobbing monk is cute as a button. I reloaded the page to see if I got a new set of 'prayer answers', but sadly they didn't change. Good stuff.
Really nice graphics and I liked the boot sequence at the start, but... not much happened, it needed some kind of ending at least or at least for something to happen after praying to the gods.
i liked the themes in this, granting things that were already true, but saying them in an odd way. not sure what it meant, but the theme of worship/deities was cool nice job!
This is really interesting. It's pretty funny, and I enjoyed playing it. I don't really think it needs choices or some other "gamey" convention, just a better conclusion. I wanted to see my curses have some effect! Great art and I loved the boot sequence. Good job!
Pretty funny, a cool concept but generally I'm expecting a little more interactivity from games. It is cool that you made this with pico-8 though, and the sprites are superb!
