Purge the earth of conventions!
How many conventions can you obliterate using conventional weapons before time runs out? You control a giant orbiting space station. Use its horrible bombs and space laser weapon on unsuspecting convention-goers. If I were to use a word to describe the activities in this game, it would be the verb "Unconvention."
WASD to move around the world (also if the crosshairs reach the edge of the screen). Large crosshair is the laser, which can be used with the left mouse button. Small crosshair is bombs (unmovable) which are dropped using the right mouse button or spacebar. Conventions grow bigger and better, harder to destroy, but will give you way more points and extra time the bigger they are.
I really liked the graphics! The music was also really fun and upbeat, along with the SFX which made blowing things up very satisfying. I found the gameplay a little dry as I found I was just clicking on the red dots for a while repeatedly.
Awesome game! I really enjoyed it. There was some good strategy involved in maximising your score while minimising your risk of losing. Also the choice of how to use your weapons made it quite interesting. I got 1450.
I get it, the Un-conventional weapon. Yep, I'm smart like that. Seriously, though, fun game. I love the games where I get to shoot an all-powerful (but really slow) laser down from the sky and drop atom bombs on people. I played like 5 times because it was so addicting and my best score was 870. Fun game!
Hahaha, ahh, very good, very droll. :) That's the most original use of theme I've seen so far. I especially liked the planetary graphics, very reminiscent of Darwinia, and the music... very reminiscent of great tongue-in-cheek B-Movie music. Monsters Vs Aliens, or something. I played a few times trying to see how to play better / optimally. Didn't quite figure out if it was better to wait for higher value sites to bomb - always seemed to just run out of bombs and laser charge eventually. I wonder if you had planned for more scope of gameplay, like some way to regain bombs or regain laser charge. It was a bit frustrating having no ammo left and only able to run the timer down waiting for laser power. I may have missed something, ofc. Also: is that a real online leaderboard?! Holy smokes!
