It may not seem obvious at first, but if you can manage to get to the end, it should be apparent how it fits the theme!
Also there are two endings to the game...one slightly "happier" than the other...see if you can find them both!

Also...I built the game using Unity. I was able to test the Web/Windows and OS/X builds but I don't have access to a Linux box soooo...I just built it blindly. Hopefully it works!
Figured out the trick after a bit to just lure out the demons and then keep back and pick em off. Interesting take on the theme, for some perhaps a bit disturbing. Good effort.
Very fun and challenging game.I liked the plot twist at the end, and the second ending too. Good visuals and overall a good game, too bad there weren't sfx.
Wow good job on the theme! The ending was great! Running back into the previous rooms made the game easy though. graphics was good, wished there were animations. The shooting felt good...if there was sfx it would have even better. Well done!
@everyone - Thanks for the feedback, and yeah I wish I had more time (and was just better skilled) at making better animations and including some sound fxs (and music). This is my second jam and I'm still learning time budgeting! :)
it's not that hard, when the monsters spawn, just got to the room in the left, and shoot right... I really liked the visual style, especially the big red guy. what it really misses is some good sound effects, consider adding that to a post-jam version :)
at first i was thinking like "woow this is so hard! but i got the trick and made it to the end :P twisted little story and surprised ending!
I think i got a bug sometime, i finished the game without actually finishing it, i ended up with the ending animation when i thought i actually died. I beated the game again until the end to see the same ending. Nice one :)
An excellent take on the theme. Not exactly a surprise per se (given that we all know what the theme is), but I liked it anyway. I especially like the good ending.
