I don't need no Psycho-Doc!
This game is from the old Ludum Dare platform. You can try viewing the original page on Web Archive

To be honest, this didn't work as smooth, as I would have expected. I actually finished something playable, but had to throw my whole story-concept over board. Furthermore I have tons of bugs and only 800x600px of the screen are used by my fullscreen-game. I hope to fix most of this in a "post-ld-version". I will post the links next to the original ones, then it gets ready.
The game is a pretty simple top-down shooter. Shoot every alien down you see. At the moment each alien should take two hits from your pistol. Aliens can only melee-attack, but their range is quite high. They are stupid as hell (lacked time for a better AI), but in the narrow hallways and cells they can still get you relatively easily.
The graphics are very, very simple with just one type of alien and two types of world-textures (time, time, time!). I look forward to polish the graphics a bit in the future.
I'm quite pleased with the visibility system. You can only see the room you are actually in and aliens can't see through walls neither. I never implemented a visibility-system before and therefore I'm very proud, that I was able to finish it in such a short time.
The game is actually just a .jar file and I hope, that it runs good enough for everybody. I might make something better soon, but it could take some days, since I need sleep. Lots of sleep. Don't expect me to wake up before the first snow falls.
If the .jar is not running, please make sure you have the latest JRE installed. You can download it here:

Be sure to leave any suggestions and bug reports in the comments, so I have a chance to enhance the game.
