Betty is a little girl who is scared of fire and monsters. It's quite understandable, isn't it? Even though you're one of the monsters yourself...
In Play, you're playing a monster living under a girl's bed. One day, you decide to help her cope with her fears. Playing helps reduce stress and anxiety, so you want to encourage her to play - especially with toys related to firefighting.
However, you're a scary monster without hands and mouth! So don't let her see you (or other monsters) and try to get the toys down from the shelves.
How to play:
Use WASD or arrow keys to move around. Нou can also jump by mashing space. Try to stay hidden - if Betty sees you, her Fear meter grows; when it's full - game's over. Hiding in shadows under the bed or a bookcase is optimal.
You can bump into bookcases to shake toys out. Betty will notice a toy on the floor and play with it - increasing her Courage meter. Increase Courage all the way to full to win the game. Note that toys won't come out until Betty plays with the ones currently on the floor - bump them strategically so that she notices them.
Fire monsters spawn in the shadows and scare Betty. Bump into them and push them back from whence they came. If Betty sees a fire monster it disappears, but not before substantially increasing Fear meter.
To win, you'd have to keep Betty not-scared until she plays with all the toys. Good luck playing!

One of the best games I have played in terms of mood. Very cute and relaxing. Nice take on the theme too. The difficulty could have ramped up a bit more towards the end and it would have been nice to have a proper ending to the game as well. Other than that good job!
Great graphics, good coding and good design. Feels very polished. Hard to believe that you guys pulled this one off in under 72 hours. Assuming this was no solo project. Good Job!
The game is pretty well crafted and puts the player in the right mood. Pushing the fireguys back into the shadows is pretty challenging. And it's a pretty interesting take on the theme. I like it.
Not bad!,well, the scene could be larger, and with different monsters to feature various child fears (with more game mechanics associated),right now it can get a bit boring too soon, but hey, good job team!

Superb atmosphere and presentation, all the assets are well done and fit together. I started having some trouble with the camera, it kept shaking around, not sure if it is something wrong on my end I was using the windows version.
Very well done game. And nice how it plays out. I think it was perfectly difficult, that is, not really hard. I think that's about right when it comes to the difficulty of a game like this. All content and how it worked toward the mood, very impressive.
I liked the game. kindof similar to my idea but done entirely differently. it's a bit hard to control because you don't move as expected but rotated 45 degrees. otherwise, very good.

I thought the difficulty level was fine...; I don't think the game would be improved by higher difficulty.
