Spoody is a spider ; an ugly spider, but also a loving one. See this little kid over there ? Well Spoody is making sure he won't be bothered by mosquitoes.
You have to protect the kid for as long as you can. You loose if he is bit more than three times. But take care, launching silk drains spoody's energy. Fortunately eating mosquitoes restores it !
There is also a peaceful mode where you can roam the room as you like, without being bothered by mosquitoes.

Everything except the font and the textures was made during the jam. Bruno Souchu for the 3d models, music and sounds. http://www.sinisterfonts.com/ for the font. Myself for the rest. #########################################################################
@Bumbu This is a problem with WebGl export not capturing focus when you click on the game. Try clicking on the white band below it, it should give the focus to the game. As to the game, i'm looking into a way to optimize it, sorry about that.
Very fun little game, controls were hard at first, but fun when gotten used too.
Only problems encountered on what was a great game were: Occasional framerate issues (I assume rope physics, not as bad when I downloaded the game, but bad in web) All of my runs ended because I fell out the map...
Just an additional feature I would have liked to see how many bugs I had eaten, but that's only a small thing.
Overall very well done, fix the bugs and it would be fantastic!
Played both versions, liked it very much. It was cool and reminded me of Spiderman with the web slinging. :)
It doesn't feel like you could lose though (I tried losing, it was really hard because the mosquitoes only move till the edge of the camera, most mosquitoes just hover over the kid) or win for that matter. Might want to implement some kind of win state as well (possibly end of the night?).
I also went through the wall on the left side of the room and spent quite some time under the room. I eventually clipped back through the floor with some web.
Fun gameplay! Made me see spiders in a new light. Nice visuals and audio. The 3D background really added depth to the game. It got a bit laggy after a few silk shots.
@Headmade I'm sorry about the lag, it was much less visible on my computer so I discovered the problem too late. I tried to quick fix it in the second package on gamejolt. It is not perfect and the physics may behave weirdly but it should be more playable (I hope so). I guess I will have to rebuild the physics system from scratch to make it run smoothly with a cool render.
