You play as a friendly Sasquatch - You long for friends, and food, and friends, and food -- A large list for such a simple being. Make your way to the Village to the South-East and find what you need! Be sure to eat any treats you find on the ground!
This game was developed using the software "Game Maker: Studio" under the professional license. Game Maker: Studio is free, and you can open up my source on a windows platform with it.
The actual 48 Hour Deadline wasn't too hard do deal with I found - This is my second 48 hour jam, the first being a Game Maker specific Jam (http://www.gm48.net/?page=game&id=50)
- Hiccups -
There weren't too many bumps in the road, I had a resolution problem when scaling my game up to get the right view - with lines across the screen and such but I solved that by changing the scale, letting the player see a bit more.
- Learned Something New -
I learned how to make sound effects using my microphone and the program Audacity - I made a whole font, you'll see it, you'll realize that I made it right away!

Loved the humor and the particle effects. Making friends had a really satisfying feel to it. The mechanic of throwing rocks to attract npcs was interesting.
Love the feel, the idea and the gameplay. Love how you used Audacity, i did something in the same way almost. I love to make sound effects. Game is creative. Good work my friend.

Funny and a lot of fun. Died several times before I figured what the 'treats' were (body parts?) that I could eat to restore health. I made so many friends I was standing outside their houses waiting for more. *deek*deek*deek*
The town folks are quite friendly. I was friend with everyone until there was no one left! xp It was quite fun! great particles and sound! Didn't use the camouflage nor the shiny stone though... it was just easier to run around the town ^^;

The sound effects were cool but the dee sound got annoying after a while. Then I died :(. I make a horrible squatch I think.
Making friends had a really satisfying feel to it.
