In this game you play the role of a Taniwha from ancient Maori legends (New Zealand). The Taniwha is a monster that normally protects treasure but in this case you are just trying to protect you identity. Use you laser vision (because why not?) to kill the divers before they take a photo of you and reach the surface. Also feel free to zap some fish, just because you can.
Game was written in python and pygame Source included with download, Github also.
I feel like when I'm seeing the start screen I'm getting photographed and losing? It could use some more clear feedback on that and some kind of visual or audio feedback that I'm doing damage to the divers with my laser would help.

Nice concept (quite similar to mine btw) but I feel like I´m unable to damage the divers. Either that or your game is missing some visual feedback when hitting them. Swimming around feels nice. Cool monster and legend but is it possible to laser the divers? Also, they sometimes spawn at the top right before surfacing, so some rounds end immediately.
I tried the source version on Linux. Works good, but I had to rename the files like Diver.png -> diver.png because it's case sensitive. I like the concept, but it all happens so fast, I felt like my lasers weren't having any effect.
