The controls is really weird. As you need to use the mouse arrow keys and shift you would need 3 hands to control the game.

Rough around the edges, but some polish and you've got yourself a twin stick shooter! Hope to see some more finished entries from you in the future.

Controls are simply horrible. Sadly, I do not have 3 hands so I can not use arrow keys, ctrl, shift and move my mouse around at the same time. Not to mention I'm really not a big fan of arrow keys but I can't even use the classic WASD... Graphics are nothing good either, no sound and I really can't tell what's happening in the game. Good try for your first time I guess but there's a lot where you can and have to improve. Also, please do try to stick with the theme for LD, as this is a contest to make a game in limited time with certain limitations. I'd suggest you keep on learning, read some game design articles, improve in programming and try again!
