A snake-like game where you grow your body and try to wrap your opponents to defeat them! Inspired by the 1991 Game Boy game "Serpent".
Objective:
Defeat opponents by restricting their movement until they explode. Alternatively, wrap them up completely with your body to insta-defeat them (this is difficult to do, but possible!)
Controls:
Player 1 - Left arrow, Right arrow
Player 2 - 1 key, Q key
Player 3 - Z key, X key
player 4 - N key, M key
Power ups:
- Increase body length
- Decrease body length
- Increase move speed
- Decrease move speed
Info:
The game was made by a team of three:
Sim Chia Tek - Programmer (https://github.com/wavespirit75)
Hwang Hsien Shiung - Programmer, Designer (https://github.com/hh-shiung)
Leong Wai Yin - Artist (http://wyleong.tumblr.com, http://coinflipstudios.com/devblog, https://github.com/laxa88)
We finished the game in about 32 hours (10AM Saturday to 6PM Sunday) due to the timezone (+8GMT).
Originally we wanted this to be made in Haxe, and we wanted it to be an online multiplayer... but we didn't have the expertise, so we decided against it. We used the following tools to make the game due to our familiarity:
- Unity 5.3
- Aseprite (for sprites and UI)
- PyxelEdit (for background)
- Sounds from [GameBurp - 2000 Game Sound FX Collection]
Project files can be found here:

Questions, comments and critique are most welcomed. This is our first Ludum Dare so we are aware that our game quality may not be up to par with the rest of the awesome developers here, but I believe we enjoyed the jam nevertheless and learned a few things! :)
