Munchy Munchers is a game about a plant called Blubbity who likes eating all kinds of things. Well, maybe not all of them... except if you're using the powerful Super Munch move, which makes even toilet paper and canvas shoes seem tasty!

Aiming: Press and hold S to aim Release S to eat whatever is targeted
Super Munch: When your combo multiplier is 3x, press and hold D to aim the Super Munch Release D to eat everything in the blue area!

everything was made during the LD, except for the music which was found at http://www.8bitpeoples.com/. software used: Unity 5.2, photoshop (sprites) and bfxr (sfx).
I really like it. The graphics are awesome, the gameplay is consistent and the idea is new. Would have loved a way to see your score after the game had ended, and maybe a highscore that was saved.
Great game! Amazing art and sound. It seemed like the higher the combo the rarer that food became. I understand the reasoning, but sometimes it was became too rare, so that it didn't show up for over 40 seconds.

@paraxite it's just based on luck right now. maybe I could implement something that made the combo item more common once you have a 2x or higher multiplier
Very nice game, excellent graphics, paired with some great music. I did find the collision detection on the blue circle seems particularly touch as I know I stopped on something to eat a bunch of times and it didn't count it.
Additionally, I found it easier to rack up points eating everything in the third row rather than trying to build up the combo to a super munch. The best I got going for combos was around 2200 vs 3200 by eating the last row as fast as possible. I think making the super munch available after getting three of the same would balance the ability a bit better. Despite that, awesome game!
I really liked how you use this theme, this jam have a lot of game of plants but yours was different and i liked. The mechanics fit well and the gameplay was really fun and polished! Good work!
Really solid entry. I enjoyed the game. The mechanics are simple and clean, and the music and SFX fit very well. I wish the growing mechanic was somehow incorporated into the gameplay mechanics a little bit more (as far as I could tell, growing the plant didn't give me anything except visual stimulus). Very Good Job altogether!
Sweet game with nice graphics and mechanic :) I found myself waiting a bit long to grab things after getting to a x2 combo. Are all the edible objects worth the same thing?
