Court of Talis is an arena based game that uses shapeshifting and type matching to defeat waves of enemies.

Your aim is to simply survive as long as you can, using your shape shifting to match the enemies weaknesses to defeat them.

Unfortunately I was rather limited on time this Ludumdare so the game is quite simple and probably a bit clunky (and most likely buggy).

Controls:
Move: W,A,S,D or Left/Right and Up/Down arrows
Attack: Spacebar,
Select Shape: Q
ShapeShift: E

Interesting.
Since you have a limited about of shapes you could have added them on different keys. Pressing Q again and again becomes tedious.
And also making the game fast pace (and skill based) might be better.
I like that you included a tutorial :)

Liked the concept. Took a while to grasp but was a lot of fun. The sound was great especially when shapeshifting!

@banana.hammers I thought about having the shapes assigned to different keys(namely keys 1,2,3) but ran out of time to try and test this, so I might look into this if I decide to do a post jam update. I also feel that the pacing needs improving, with a faster pace probably suiting the style a bit better than its current form.

@EpiFouloux If I decide to do a post jam update I will definitely try and optimise it a bit better, it really does need it :-D, and include a pause menu, which I wanted to include this version but ran out of time :-(

Nice game, though I think the player's movement was a bit slow. Also as a few others had noted it might have made more sense to either have dedicated buttons for three shapes or toggle between the shapes with Q and E such that the transform happens immediately.
