Nice conceptart! I think this is a good point to start a project. I love the witch and colour set choosen. Clever way to solve the "game start" moving the paralax background. The difficulty increases very fast but good jam game.
Nice game, had fun playing this. Would be better if I didn't have to keep pressing the shoot button. Instead, holding down the button should keep the bullets shooting (maybe at a low fire rate). Except that, I love everything in the game, especially the visuals. Nice colors and gameplay ! Followed you on twitter :)
I don't see how this is related to the theme. But the game has really nice pixel art graphics and is nice to look at and play. I would add some things like coins for the heroine to collect while she is avoiding all those shooting creatures.
Cute game! The art was adorable and well made, I wasn't sure where the theme for the jam was though? Maybe I just missed it. You should also add some feedback to let the player know what is friendly/has been hit, since it took more than one shot to destroy the enemies and there was no feedback letting me know they had been damaged, at first i thought they were collectibles, same with the projectiles they launched. Really great and fun game overall though!
