MazeEffect takes you out into space, on board of a mother ship, which went offline due to the spreading of a yet unknown rogue algorithm, capable of controlling and transforming inanimate objects into relentless killing machines. You are playing as a member of a special technical task force ordered to terminate every hostile object on the spacecraft. MazeEffect features procedurally generated opponents and custom pathfinder AI, and even better music (yey)!
Fun shooter! I managed to spot the ammo boxes in the end, would have been really great if they were a different colour and easier to find - also if they weren't so stingy on the amount of ammo they give you...
Awesome job! The music, animations, and gameplay was great! For improvement, I would add a cross hair and make enemies move faster or make the player have stamina, because the enemies were outrunnable.
Nice rockin' tunes to blast to, and a fun looking blaster you made there. I like the procedural design to double up on the shapeshift idea too.
I think your lack of global illumination made seeing the colours (red eyes, med pack etc) difficult until nearby (with the torch) and made it all look "too" grey. Otherwise, very nice effort :)
Fun! Nice job on the procedural level generation - works really well. The art's good, particularly the gun model, and I liked the transformation animations on the enemies. Well done.
