1) Turn on the stove and set your heat using the slider. 2) Once you think the pan is hot enough, click the "Add onions" button to drop some diced onions into the pan. 3) Click and drag the pan's handle to move it around. Use your expert pan-handling skills to stir and flip the onions as they cook. 4) Toss the cooked onions onto the nearby plate and click the "Serve" button when you are satisfied.
There's no evaluation on how well you cooked your onions, but if you tweet a screen cap of them to @pat_of_kemp, I will give you my personal appraisal.
Pretty awesome. Difficult to get them to turn over with the pan shape. I spilled a lot because of this. Would love to be able to keep adding more onions. Also wanted to see burning onions that fell in the flames. Also really needs soundfx and cooking music.
If you're planning on doing any post-jam edits, you should definitely add some nice sizzling sounds! Adding some rotation to the pan physics might make it a bit more challenging too.
This was great! Nice use of physics as part of the challenge. Great sense of humor as well. It was hilarious when I served one square of onion and it said You Did It! Id love to see a game like this like this with lots of mini games where you must serve different foods. Even better make it competitive cooking so friends can play with onions flying everywhere!
