Hi folks.

This is our second LD entry as a team.

This time we had the goal to make a 3D game using Modern OpenGL and considering that it is our very first 3D project we are very proud we did it.

POSSIBLE ISSUES:

-Make sure your java version is up to date: 1.8 is required

-If you encounter any problems starting the game try changing the skybox_mipmap and/or light_shader_optimization values in the settings.txt to false

-Your score will be printed to the console - unfortunately we were unable to enable Text Rendering in LWJGL.

CONTROLS:

W A S D - Movement

Q E - Shapeshifting

Your goal is to run away from the heicopter as long as possible.

In order to acomplish that on the randomly generated world, you can adopt 3 different shapes: The Eagle can fly over the whole world, but is rather slow. The leopard is faster, but only on land. The Shark is the fastest, but of course only in the water. He also can't pick up the speed-powerups.

STORY:

You were born as a shapeshifter with a strange and rare mutation, allowing you

to adapt your physical appearance.

You have therefore always been the star at school and at home, while your brother, not being gifted with the mutation, never got any attention.

He got sick of being ignored and over the years his jealousy grew until one day,

in a heavy argument, your brother left and has never since been seen.

But now he is back! And he built some kind of evil helicopter-killer-machine.

"Brother, you are back?"

"Shut up! My time has come and yours is finally over. You were everyone's favorite for too long!"

"Wow, stay calm... Let us talk about everything..."

"NOO! Now you're going to DIEEEEEE!!!!!"

Run away from your brother, and try to survive as long as possible.

The planets are generated randomly, so you can explore a different one each rund you play.

Thanks for playing the game. Don't forget to write your feedback (or possible error messages) into the comments - we would really appreciate that!
