Squid Girl

Take Pixel Princess down the beach and help her pick up some beach goodies, but watch out for the obstacles! Master Inky will rise from the sea and transform Pixel Princess into Squid Girl, where her point collecting powers become key in the sea.

*NOTE* Transformation still in process, this was our first pico-8 game :)

I couldn't really make sense of this. I didn't know what I was supposed to hit and what I was supposed to avoid.

Nice entry, I like the idea. The music is cool too. It's a bit difficult to avoid every obstacle, maybe the collision has an offset or is too large. Having a life bar would be great too. Keep up the good work

Goodies and obstacles are not distinguishable, which defeats the purpose of the game. Also, what is the connection with the theme, I did not understand.

I think if you just made it a little more clear and what to hit and what not to hit, youd have a solid entry

I like the idea, but I'm not sure what is good for me and bad for me...perhaps a color system or a key would help?
